- Century Editions has significantly expanded its Giclee printing capabilities at its Scottsdale Atelier with the addition of new printing systems and capabilities. After significant research and and development and several months of testing Century Editions has released its new printing systems for print production.
- Client benefits will include:
- • Ultra-High Gamut 12 Color Pigment Printing- (Cyan, Light Cyan, Magenta, Light Magenta, Yellow, Red, Green, Violet, Gloss Black, Matte Black, Medium Gray, Light Gray) This results in up to a 60% greater color gamut than competitive printing systems! Images that were previously considered unprintable can now be printed with amazing color fidelity.
- • Prints as large as 60 x 120 inches
- • Incredible Tonal Acuity with 256 times more addressable shades per color than competing printing systems The current amount of addressable shades per color on virtually every color printing system is 256. Our new printing systems are capable of addressing 65,536 shades per color. These extra shades result in the capture of amazing detail and ultra smooth (band free) color transitions.
- • 100+ year Fade Resistance-Wilhelm Imaging Research estimates (tests are still in progress due to the extreme fade resistance of these pigmented inks) fade resistance ratings in excess of 100 years for color prints and significantly greater for black and white prints
- • Water resistant pigments.
- • Increased capacity to support production volumes of 1000, 30" x 40" prints per week
- In conjunction with the introduction of the new printing technology Century Editions will be offering extremely aggressive high volume pricing. 30 x 40 prints will cost as little as $56.25 each on rag paper or canvas. This will allow our clients to market and be competitive in Hospitality and Big Box retail markets. These are high quality prints not the decor quality prints offered by competitors, so our clients should enjoy the benefits of the highest quality products in the industry and aggressive pricing. Century Editions will also offer Poster quality (the same great quality 12 color printing but on lower grade papers) prints at even greater discount levels.
